Happy Trails Hot Tub

The hot tub is out!

After some careful measurements and a lot of elbow grease, the retro-fabulous pink hot tub is no more. The florida room already looks better, smells better and now has a great little space for me to work on projects without being in a thousand degree garage. In the future I’d like to turn the space into a nice little doggie nook with built-ins for the dog’s food and water and maybe even a nice little cottage style sink.

Here’s how it all went down…..

Just a Few Randoms....

Just wanted to pop in and share a few pics from around the house lately. We took the dogs for a frolic in the soccer fields right on the other side of my back fence. Did I mention my house backs up to where I went to high school? Yep. I've even heard the marching band practicing a little already. Most people would probably dread that, but I say, "Ahh, memories".

And we end with this AMAZIN thrift store/Craiglist find. MY DINING TABLE. Complete with a super heavy metal frame and solid wood top.  Here is a sneak peak of its transformation in the works....I am ba-na-nas over this table! B-A-N-A-N-A-S. Oh, and it was $45. That's how I roll. Bam.

When I move, you move...

Well...we came, we saw, we ALL helped move. All in all it was a pretty fun day with family, food and furniture....of course. Personally, I like to refer to my new house as "the lake house" because it's about a hop, skip and a jump away from a major lake in the city. Now if only the house were lake front.... nevertheless... welcome, new house! I hope you are ready for 2 big dogs, new paint, some demo and lots of D-I-Y's...hang in there!
