Our October Fall Wedding Carnival

Operation: Byers Wedding
The date: 10.12.13
The forecast: Possible showers with clearing clouds
The mood: FRANTIC
The outcome: Amazing.

It was a perfectly beautiful sunny October Saturday. We thanked God that the rain stayed away and allowed us the fun outdoor wedding we had been working so hard to prepare for. We had only three short months to get ready for the big date. Once we found a venue, at the gorgeous home of long-time gracious friends of our family, it was on. I could bore you with lots of sentences describing these three months but I'll just let the MANY pictures speak for themselves. All you need to know is that this was a handmade wedding if ever there was one. I had an overall vision for what I wanted and all of our friends and family members worked so hard to make it a reality for us. We used almost no professional services for our wedding and instead used everyone's already existing talents to construct what we needed. My dad spent weeks collecting unwanted fence panels to make rustic tables out of that we couldn't find to rent. Micah's dad constructed all the lighted marquee letters from scratch. Micah's step-dad, Mark, did all the electrical work we needed including all those two story high strings of lights! My mom and sisters made all the treats and food which included nachos, corn on the cob, caramel apples, hot dogs, cotton candy and more! Micah's mom made the unbelievable cakes everyone raved about. I mean who has a Death Star with working lights as their groom's cake? Us, that's who. My bridesmaids, nieces, nephews, sisters, bro-in-laws, mom, dad, and Micah's family ALL helped sew streamers, or stuff bags of popcorn, paint signs, lift hay bales, set up games, unfold tissue flowers or whatever else we threw at them. Whew! So thankful to have a willing family like them. I think we all got some MUCH needed rest afterwards!

All of our gorgeous pictures were shot by my good friend Rhiannon Whinery (Oakes) who also shot our engagement pics.  She is amazing and is always on the lookout for unique photography opportunities if anyone would like more info on her.

Hang on, here goes!

..........annnnnnd then we turned around and came back to help clean up.

What a wonderful wedding it turned out to be. Thank you so much to anyone and everyone involved!
